Let’s Grow Together Community Garden

This community garden is led by LaSandra Jones, President of the Potter-Walsh Neighborhood Association. It is a peaceful gathering space for the community, where neighbors learn about plants and grow fruits and vegetables together. It has been part of the Ingham County Land Bank Garden Program for many years. We supply locally grown produce to the community and teach sustainable farming techniques. Pictures are assembled in reverse chronological order; more recent pictures of the garden are at the top of the page.

We sheet mulched the perimeter of the edible garden and will eventually establish a Perimeter Prairie that will attract more pollinator visitors and likely enhance edible garden yield

Thank you so much for the woodchip donation, Wright Tree Service!

Cedar, our carpenter, and Brandon, our founder, worked hard to make a small greenhouse for LaSandra. Unfortunately, the structure was not made with the best material and failed after two nights of very high wind.
