This community garden is led by LaSandra Jones, President of the Potter-Walsh Neighborhood Association. It is a peaceful gathering space for the community, where neighbors learn about plants and grow fruits and vegetables together. It has been part of the Ingham County Land Bank Garden Program for many years. We supply locally grown produce to the community and teach sustainable farming techniques. Pictures are assembled in reverse chronological order; more recent pictures of the garden are at the top of the page.

Every garden needs a Little Free Library!

We Installed taller raised planters so that the elderly do not have to bend too far down to get involved.

We sheet mulched the perimeter of the garden. This space will be restored to a native prairie to encourage pollinator visitation on our crops. We could not have done this without the help of local tree-trimming companies.

Another year, another round of planting!

The yearly clean-up! The fallen leaves of deciduous trees always keep us busy in the beginning of the spring.
